The journal appears twice a year and publishes research articles, papers and notes on all fields of

 biology. Book reviews are also published. Evaluation of whether a submitted manuscript satisfies

 the scientific standards of the journal is made by the Editor-in-Chief and at least one member of the

 Editorial Board, based on the opinion of two or three referees.
